Amarillo, Tx– The North American Hockey League released the schedule for the 2022-23 season Tuesday afternoon.
The NAHL season will begin with the 19th annual NAHL Showcase in Blaine, MN, September 14-17, 2022. The Wranglers have announced some dates to know and promotions for the upcoming season.
Dates To Know:
Home Opener- Oct. 14 vs. Shreveport
Military Night- Nov. 4 vs. Oklahoma City
Teddy Bear Toss- Dec. 17 vs. El Paso
New Year’s Eve- Dec. 31 vs. New Mexico
The Wranglers will have extended home-stands in December when they take on Shreveport and El Paso in the two weeks leading up to Christmas. Then hockey returns to Amarillo on New Years’ Eve as the Wranglers host the defending South Division champion New Mexico Ice Wolves.
Amarillo will also have three weekends at home in February as they host Lone Star, New Mexico, and Corpus Christi. The last home series for the Wranglers will be Easter weekend (Apr. 7-8) against the Brahmas.
“We are looking forward to another well-attended January and February as we will host 10 home games during those winter months,” Team President Austin Sutter said
The Wranglers are building off their inaugural season, where they finished fourth in attendance in the 29-team NAHL.
“We are very excited about this season’s schedule. It is well balanced and features some great opportunities for promotional nights,” Sutter said
As the 2022-23 season approaches, the Wranglers are putting the finishing touches on the promotional schedule and significant events.
“We will continue to build on successful traditions like Military night in November, Teddy Bear Toss and New Year’s Eve in December, and Margaritaville Cancer Awareness in April,” Sutter said.
