Amarillo, Tx-Chase Davis becomes the first 2022-23 Wranglers member to announce his college commitment by signing with Bentley University.
The Wranglers acquired Davis from the Aberdeen Wings at last year’s trade deadline, and since then, Davis has provided steady play and leadership for Amarillo.
“Coming here, those two (coach Mahood and Gylling) helped me develop my game… I’ve taken in everything they’ve told me to do,” Davis said.
Bentley University is a Division I hockey program located in Waltham, Massachusetts. The Falcons are coming off of back-to-back conference titles the past two seasons.
“Bentley is a fantastic hockey program; it checks all my boxes… academic and has a great location. I am super excited to get the chance to play college hockey,” Davis explained.
With the college commitment officially signed, Davis is eager to work with the Wranglers roster and build off of the strong start the team has amassed.
“I’m excited about the group this year; we are really close on and off the ice,” Davis said.
After seeing his senior teammates made college commitments last season, Davis is proud to join them in the college ranks.
“We had a lot of great leaders last year; they worked their tails off. We all come to junior hockey to get those college opportunities,” Davis said.
