Amarillo, Tx– The Amarillo Wranglers are preparing to add to their roster during the 2022 NAHL Draft Wednesday afternoon.
The NAHL Entry Draft will begin at 1 p.m. and be broadcast live on HockeyTv. The Wranglers own seven picks in this year’s draft, including the eighth overall pick in the first round.
The draft is for players under 21 who are not currently listed on an NAHL roster or tendered by a team. The Wranglers hosted a pre-draft camp in Las Vegas this past weekend along with three other NAHL teams.
Amarillo’s coaching and scouting staff have used the offseason to bolster the team’s roster in preparation for their main camp to be held in Michigan later this summer. In addition to tendering a handful of players, the Wranglers acquired Justin Filippelli and Joe Manning from the Chippewa Steel in exchange for a 2022 tender.
Fans can keep up with all the Wranglers’ draft picks by following the Wranglers’ social media pages or on the NAHL draft website http://nahldraft.com/.
