Amarillo, TX – Wranglers forward Magnus Gadowsky has announced his commitment to play NCAA Division III hockey at Amherst College.

Gadowsky, 20, spent his first year and a half in the NAHL with the Maryland Black Bears before being traded to Amarillo on February 7th. In 64 games with Maryland, Gadowsky scored 4 goals and 7 assists. In his time with Maryland and Amarillo, he quickly became a beloved figure for his strong leadership skills, hard work ethic, and passion for the game, and will be an integral part of the team in the Wranglers’ chase for the Robertson Cup.

“I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to go to Amherst,” said Gadowsky. “Academics were a priority in my decision and Amherst seems like the perfect place for me to pursue both my academic and athletic goals.”

Wranglers President of Hockey Operations & GM, Harry Mahood, had high praise for Gadowsky saying “Magnus is a great example of what colleges look for in a student-athlete. Magnus lives and breathes hockey, is an outstanding student, a beloved teammate, and a young man of impeccable character.” He continued to say, “As we move into the most important part of our schedule, Magnus will be leaned on heavily for his leadership and spirited play.”
